Katie + Ross // Cowdray House

“Thank you so much for doing such an incredible job with our wedding video! We honestly love it so much, it is the best way to capture and remember such a wonderful time in our lives.”

— Katie

Katie + Ross had their wedding planned out well before anyone had even heard of a covid secure wedding, and then with the sudden changes at the beginning of the year and the first lockdown looming they chose to postpone to later in the year. Like many of us they were confident things would be back to normal by then.

And as we all know, things are taking slightly longer! So Katie + Ross decided to go ahead with their plans still for the date. Corona restrictions had been placed on weddings, so a micro-wedding was the order of the day.

The rule of six meant Katie + Ross could both have their bridesmaids and groomsmen with them for preparation in the morning at the beautiful venue of Cowdray House in Midhurst, Sussex, Gift giving, lots of laughter and a few drinks were a great way to start the day before the guests attending the ceremony were taken in a vintage bus to St Mary Magdalene & St Denys church also in Midhurst.

Katie looked stunning walking down the aisle with many of their friends and family watching from the large glass front of the church outside. Ross + Katie spoke lovely vows before celebrating in the Midhurst square with confetti and miniature bottles of Prosecco for all their guests who were unable to join them later at the venue.

Cowdray House did an amazing job of maintaining government guidelines due to covid while the guests enjoyed live Irish folk music, an incredible magician and lots of drinks and laughter.

The grand hall at Cowdray had been set up beautifully with a long central table aligned with tall flower centrepieces by Loseley Flowers, all lit by candlelight.

The couple and their guests had a delicious meal, lovely speeches and finished the night with a live murder mystery!

It was so great to finally be able to capture their wedding day 6 months later than originally planned and just goes to show how much fun a micro wedding can be! Thanks again for having me along to be there!
