Ping! A message dropped into the inbox. Priya and Sandeep were not sure where they were getting married, but they sure as hell were going to make it work. These two absolute beaut’s story is made for the movies…

During Sandeep’s 30 minute stop over in London on a flight from India to America, he turned on his phone, his dating app updated his location, and the two matched. Only speaking via the app a month later and after speaking every day for the two months after that, they decided on their first date, somewhere easy to get to, a nice halfway location, keeping it low key… they met in Miami for a week long cruise to Cuba!They continued the theme of international dates travelling to seven different countries together until the big day when Sandeep popped the question after a skydive in California.

The couple then began their plans to wed in a temple in Malaysia, the location of one of their dates but as with many, many weddings in 2020 the ugly corona monster reared its head and put a stop to those plans.

When we (Myself and the awesome Photographer Bek from REAL PHOTO + FILM) spoke with Priya she hadn’t seen Sandeep who was still living out in Missouri in the US for months. The day she landed back in the UK after visiting Sandeep was the day Ol’ Trump put the travel ban into place.

Having spent lockdown apart and having had to cancel their original plans Priya began calling every council in England to find a place that would marry the couple. We awaited an update from Priya, but alas England did not come to their aid with specific rules around giving a month physical notice prior to the wedding.

So she worked higher up the map, crossing borders and ended up chatting with a lovely registrar in Stirling, Scotland who would accept online notice! Result! She gave notice that day to the registrar and booked myself and Bek in to shoot and 30 days later we met on a drizzly Scottish morning at 6am at their apartment where Sandeep had been quarantining for two weeks after flying in.

We spent a lovely morning walking around the beautiful town of Stirling, The castle, The Old bridge and the cobbled streets were the perfect setting. before their ceremony.

Having only four guests, a photographer and a videographer and a host of friends on zoom the ceremony was intimate, touching and had some top notch vows that were a joy to use in the creation of their wedding film.

We spent the following morning with the couple exploring the shores of Loch Lomond capturing some of the most breathtaking scenery the UK has to offer before Sandeep and Priya took off to climb Ben Nevis, these two would stop at nothing for an adventure.

It really was one of the highlights of a year that has been filled with very limited travel, and very few weddings, Priya and Sandeep are now (Finally!) happily married over in the US. Yiping and Sean got in touch via a good friend of mine who they’d chosen as their photographer, they were having a small ceremony which initially was due to be just the two of them! Meaning myself and Fern (Check out her work here!) were due to be both the video/photo team, guests, and witnesses!

We arrived in Notting Hill in Central London at Yiping and Seans flat where Yiping was all set and ready, so we captured a few shots in the beautiful light of the flat before having an awesome walk to the church, Yiping turning heads all the way there!

Sean’s Mum and Sister had last minuted travelled all the way down from Scotland and in the sprawling church of St Mary’s Of Angels, Notting Hill the two got married in a beautiful ceremony. It was such an experience being in such a huge church with only the five of us witness to such a special occasion.

Following the ceremony we walked across the road to the Cock and Bottle Pub, a lovely local with an equally lovely landlady, we ate a selection of small plates, had a few drinks and a good laugh before having a quick walk around the Notting Hill streets to capture some more footage and couple portraits.

It really was an awesome few hours spent with them and such an honour to be able to capture and edit their wedding film. If you’re thinking of having an intimate elopement then definitely reach out as it would be lovely to hear what plans you have for your wedding day!

The coastline of North Wales was the perfect back drop for @maxstothert and @bryonystothert ‘s beautiful day in Treaddur Bay, Anglesey. And it was made better that these two grew up exploring and sailing along the bays and coastline making memories and now have another epic memory to add to the collection with so much love, laughter and awesome dancing from all their wonderful friends and family!

Such a great day filming @elmorecourt for the awesome @emilyellismitchell and @jonnydmitchell big day! Was an absolute pleasure to work alongside @binkynixon and @sallyforder too, supplying all the bants, watermelon sweets and flapjacks you could need!

Two ceremonies means twice the joy, twice the love and two sets of awesome outfits for @np84 and @k.taylor4823 wedding at the wonderful @markshallestateweddings

Being the videographer for Andrew and Alexis’ wedding in Italy, I can confidently say that it was one of the most beautiful events I have ever captured, a fantastic venue in the @belmondhotelcaruso and some beautiful planning and design by @glameventsintuscany really made for the perfect few days celebrating with @lexiyelonek and @andrewtmatthews.

Filming at the Caruso Hotels was an absolute dream. The stunning backdrop of the Amalfi coast made for the perfect setting and the couple shoot in Ravello and at the infinity pool overlooking the coast was just incredible.

And not to mention finishing the three days of celebrations with a boat trip to Capri! Filming the couple and their friends having the time of their lives as we sailed there was a highlight of the trip. The views of the island were absolutely stunning, and I am so grateful to have been able to capture it all on camera.

Andrew and Alexis, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. It was an honor to capture your love and commitment to each other in such a stunning part of the world!

Such a beaut day capturing @kparkin93 + @rosalindapperley wedding @crippsbarn it's been so great to be back filming weddings all over the country (and world!) but the Cotswolds is such a beautiful area to get married in and I love going back there especially when the sun turns up like it did for some beautiful golden hour shots in the evening like with these two!
